If you see an option to add eSIM, your device supports it.
Alternatively, check your device’s specs on the manufacturer’s website or contact your carrier.
Note: The steps to check eSIM support might vary. For example, on Google Pixel phones, you’ll find eSIM options under “Network & Internet.” On most other devices, look under “Mobile Networks” or “Connections.”
How to Install and Activate eSIM on Android
If you’ve bought an eSIM plan for international travel and need to activate it, follow these steps:
Ensure a Stable Internet Connection: Make sure you’re connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network since the plan isn’t active yet. This is especially important in places like airports or hotels.
Open Settings: Go to your device’s settings and enable “Cellular Data” and “Data Roaming.”
Access eSIM Setup: Go to Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM.
Scan the QR Code: Tap “Scan QR Code” and use your camera to scan the activation code you received from us. You can also upload the barcode image from your gallery.
Add and Wait: Tap “Add” and wait for a few minutes while the installation completes. Stay in a location with a strong internet connection during this time to avoid any errors.
Start Using: Once the installation is done, your data plan will be activated, and you can start using it until your plan runs out.
How Many eSIMs Can You Install on Android?
Most Android devices allow you to install up to two eSIMs, though some can handle more. Each eSIM can also create up to 20 profiles, so you can manage different profiles, such as personal and business, on the same device.
