How to Install eSIM on Your iPhone

  1. Ensure a Reliable Internet Connection: Make sure you’re connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  2. Access eSIM Settings: Open Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan and select Scan QR Code. The QR code you need was sent to you by email when you purchased your eSIM data plan. Scan it, then tap Activate eSIM > Continue.
  3. Name Your eSIM: You’ll be prompted to assign a name to your eSIM plan. This helps you identify it easily.
  4. Choose Your eSIM Settings: Decide if you want to use the eSIM as your primary line (handling all your data) or as a secondary line (handling specific functions like emails, Apple ID, calls, and messages). Note that using the eSIM as a secondary line might lead to extra charges from your home carrier.
  5. Complete the Setup: Go to Settings > Cellular > Select Secondary SIM and enable data roaming.
  6. Turn Off Your Local SIM: To avoid unnecessary charges, deactivate your regular SIM card.

When Will Your eSIM Activate?

Your eSIM will become active as soon as you complete the setup and connect to a local network abroad. Data access will continue until your plan expires. If you run out of data, you can easily purchase a new plan through your account on our website.

How to Check if Your iPhone is Carrier-Locked

Some iPhones are locked to the carrier they were originally purchased from. This means you can only use that carrier’s network unless you unlock your phone.

To check if your iPhone is locked, go to Settings > General > About and look for Carrier Lock. If it says “No SIM Restrictions,” your iPhone isn’t locked. If it is locked, you’ll need to contact the carrier you bought your iPhone from and request an unlock.

That’s it! You’re all set to use your eSIM and stay connected while traveling.
